TROPHY BEAR HUNTS The Alaska Peninsula has one of the largest concentrations of trophy brown bear in the world. The open terrain and high bear density of our area allow you to view as many as 20 to 30 bears during a hunt. Whether you are hunting for a luxurious hide, full size mount or one for the books, our peninsula hunt offers variety you don't find elsewhere. Expect glaciers, volcanoes, ocean beaches and rivers. Don't forget your fishing rod, as you can catch 30 or more salmon per day. Caribou are plentiful, and hunters take record-book animals from this area each year. Big bulls are moving out of the mountains to the rutting grounds, and it's possible to glass hundreds of animals during your hunt. Wolf and wolverine are also available on the fall hunts at no extra charge. Full-course meals range from steaks and roasts to fresh-grilled salmon, salads and hearty breakfasts, all served in our spacious dining tent. We scout the area extensively each season, and can realistically give you an idea of what you can expect before you begin hunting. |

HUNTING METHODS The Alaska Peninsula is noted for its inclement weather, which minimizes hunting pressure in this game-rich area. In the coastal mountains of the Alaska Peninsula, we use specific strategies to hunt these big brown bears. Our custom tents are specially made to withstand the area's cyclonic winds. We spike camp at the confluence of select river valleys, and glass and choose from the number of large bears that move through our area each spring and fall. This minimizes human scent and travel in the area, a factor that contributes to our high success rate for bears in the 9 to 11 - foot range. We limit our Alaska Peninsula bear hunts to four hunters per year. |
